IPL = In Palette Layers
Lets BeginOpen template in PSP. Duplicate and then delete original. IPL, delete the credit and the frame fill layers.
Go to Image - Canvas size. Increase size to 675 x 675 pixels. Check centered. (You can resize smaller later.) Fill in the white background.
Add a new raster layer and fill with this color, 215494. Go to Effects - Texture - Weave. Settings: Gap size = 2. Width = 8. Opacity = 2. Color white. Check fill gaps.
Apply the rnd_fade.msk. Layers - Merge Group. Resize down to 98 %. Set Opacity to 74.
Open the papers from my supplies in PSP.
The triple strip, double squares and square layers are all to be done in the same way....
...Click on the triple strip layer. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. In your foreground color palette click the pattern tab and select the blue curly paper. Angle = 0. Scale = 100. Fill the new layer with this paper. New Raster Layer. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 1. Fill with this color, 173b63. New Raster Layer. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 3. Fill with white. Select None. IPL, delete the template triple layer. Move the dark blue layer below the curly layer. Move the white layer below the dark blue layer. Give the white layer a drop shadow. I used H & V = 2. Opacity = 100. Blur = 6. Color is black.
Click on the blue curly layer. Effects - Plug Ins - EyeCandy5 - Nature - Snow Drift. Click the Settings tab, and select Dusting,Light.
Click on the double squares. (I found it easier to get the look I wanted by doing one square at a time.) Use your magic wand and click inside the upper left square. New Raster Layer. In your pattern tab, select the colored squares. Now this was a bit tricky for me. After some trial and error, I was able to get my squares to line up by setting the scale to 45. Hopefully it will do the same for you. After you've filled the new layer, follow the same steps you used on the triple strips for the blue and white layers. Repeat these steps for the bottom right double square.
Click on the square layer. Use the snowflake paper and follow the same steps you used for the triple strips.
Be sure to delete the template layers, and use the snow effect.
Click on the oval. Select All - Float - Defloat. Paste, as a new layer, the winter paper. Selections - Invert. Delete. Selections - Invert - Modify - Expand - by 1. New Raster layer. Fill with this color, 173b63. New Raster Layer. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 3. Fill with white. Select None. IPL, arrange it so that the winter paper is on top, followed by the blue, then the white. Give the white the same drop shadow you used earlier. Delete template oval.
If you are using the same tubes I used, click on the double tube called SnowDay. IPL right click and duplicate. On the duplicate change the blend mode to multiply. Right click and merge down to the original. Copy, and paste as a new layer, onto your tag. Move it below the frame layer. Duplicate. Hide the duplicate. Move the original tube so that the girl of the right is centered in the right side frame. Click on the frame. Use your magic wand and click inside the right side frame. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 3. Invert. Click on the tube and delete. Select None.
Unhide the duplicate. Mirror. This time move the tube so the other girl in the image is in the center of the left side frame. Click on the frame. Use your magic wand to click inside the left frame. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 3. Invert. Click on the tube and delete. Select None.
Paste, as a new layer, a third tube. Place it below the frame layer and in the center frame. Click on the frame. Use your magic wand and click inside the center frame. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 3. Invert. Click on the tube and delete. Select None.
Give each of the tubes a drop shadow. H V = 1. Opacity = 60. Blur = 4. Color is black.
Make a blue gradient color. Foreground color is,6080b5 and background color is,173b63. In the foreground color, click the gradient tab. Settings: Style = Linear. Angle = 35. Repeats = 3.
Click on the frame. Select all - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with gradient color. New Raster Layer. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 4. Fill with white. Select None. IPL, move white layer below blue and delete template frame. Give the white layer the same drop shadow used for double squares. Give the blue layer the same snow effect you used earlier.
(If you are not going to animate, add your copyrights and name. Merge all layers. Save.)
Animation Snow
IPL, right click the frame and merge down to the white trim layer. Right click that and merge down to the tube layer. Merge down again, and once more. You want the frame layers to be merged with the tube layers. Now hide this merged frame layer.
Right click the oval layer and merge visible. Unhide the frame layer.
Add copyrights. Right click and merge down to frame layer. You should have only two layers. Frame layer and bottom layer.
Click on the bottom layer and copy. Paste in animation shop as a new animation.
Open in animation shop, the snowflake fill that came with my supplies. There are ten frames to this fill, so you need to duplicate the bottom layer until you have 10 frames. Click on the bottom layer and right click. Click duplicate. Repeat until there are 10 frames.
Click on the snow fill. Type the Ctrl and the a then Ctrl and the c . Click your bottom frames and type Ctrl a and then Ctrl e . Carefully place the snow so that it fits right into the oval of your tag.
Back in PSP, copy the frame layer and paste it in animation shop as a new animation. Look on the upper tool bar, or in the edit tab, for the propagate paste button. Select it. Click on the frame tag. Type Ctrl a then Ctrl c . Click on the bottom tag and type Ctrl a Ctrl e. Carefully place the frame in the center of the tag. Go to View - Animation. If you are happy with the results, save as a png file.
Note: Before saving, if you want to resize your tag, simply go to Animation - Resize animation. Click on the pixel button. Select your size. Check box for Maintain aspect ratio. On the Resize Type, select smart size.
To add the name, after making it in PSP, paste in animation shop as a new animation. Make sure the propagate paste is still selected. Click on the name and type Ctrl a then Ctrl c . Click on your tag and type Ctrl a Ctrl e. Position name at the lower center of your tag.
