A working knowledge of psp is assumed.
Supplies Needed
Tube of choice. One with a closeup works best.
I am using the art of Danny Lee. His art can be found at Scraps N Company.
BP_template287. Made by me.
PlugIn filters Xero - Grayscaler, SoftMood and Porcelian.
Any background mask of choice.
Fonts used, Fette UNZ Fraktur
Signerica Thin
NOTE: This tutorial is written for the supplies I used. If you are using something different, you may need to adjust some settings.
IPL = In Palette Layers
Open template in psp. Duplicate, then delete original. IPL, delete the credit layer.
Make a green gradient. Foreground color is 566a49. Background color is 4a6437. In Foreground click the gradient tab. Style is Linear. Angle = 0. Repeats = 1.
With your magic wand, click on the center shape. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill with the gradient color. Keep active.
Paste, as a new layer, the close up of your tube. I increased the size to 150. Center the face so that the eyes and lips are showing. (see my tag). Selections - Invert. Delete. Select None. IPL, hide the close up, and delete the original center shape.
Click on the gradient center shape. Go to Effects - Texture Effects - Blinds. Settings: Width = 3. Opacity = 100. Color is 212b13. Check horizontal. Add a drop shadow. H & V = 2. Opacity = 100. Blur = 5. Color is black.
Click on the center shape background. Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add noise. Settings: Check Gaussian and Monochrome. Noise level is 50. Add a drop shadow, same as for the green. Give all the black background layers the same noise effect and drop shadow.
Click on the tube close up. Go to Xero - Greyscaler. Use the default setting. Xero - Soft Moon. Again use default settings. Xero - Porcelain. Use the default settings, but change the brightness to 150. Reduce opacity to 70.
Open your text box. Font is Fette UNZ Fraktur size 100 Bold. Stroke width = 2. Kerning = -40. Foreground color only. Color is black. Type out the word Disgust. Apply. Edit - Copy. Delete. Repaste as a new layer. Center it and then rotate to the left by 11 degrees. Slide slightly to the left so that about a third of the D is over the center gradient. Erase the part of the D that is past that gradient edge. (see my tag).
Use your magic wand to click outside the text layer. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 2. Selections - Invert. New Raster layer. Set fill to 50% and fill with this color b8bdb3. Select none. IPL, move the color layer below the outline layer. Give the color layer the same noise you gave the black backgrounds. Give the black outline a drop shadow. Same as used for backgrounds.
Paste, as a new layer, your full size tube. I reduced mine down to 55%. Position to the far right of your tag. Give a light drop shadow. H & V = 1. Opacity = 50. Blur = 3. Color is black.
For the remaining layers, it's the same. Click on a layer, Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat, New Raster Layer. Fill with a paper or color of choice. Select None. Delete template layer.
Add any embellishments to your liking. I added a few funky things I had in my loose scrap file.
Add copyright and name. Save.
