Painted Girl

A working knowledge of PSP is assumed.

Supplies Needed

Tube of choice (one with a close up works best)
I am using the beautiful art of Molly Harrison, which can be
purchased from CDO.

Black flower HERE

Font used is Pegusas

NOTE:
This tutorial is written for the supplies I used. If you are using something different,

you may need to make some adjustments.

IPL = In Palette Layers

Let's Begin

In PSP, open a new image size 650 x 300. Flood fill with white.
Paste, as a new layer, your tube. I increased the size of my tube to 150. Position to the right side of your tag. Use your magic wand to click outside the tube. Go to Selections - Modify - Feather - set to 30. Delete, and delete again. Select none.

IPL, right click tube layer and duplicate. Image - Mirror. Change blend mode to soft light. Move this layer below the original tube layer.

Paste, as a new layer, the large black flower. Keep it centered and move to the far left of tag, leaving only half showing. (see my tag).

Click on the white background layer. Add a new Raster Layer and fill with this color, d1b2ca. Select none. Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add noise. Check Gaussian and Monochrome. Set to 10. Effects - Texture - Blinds. Settings: Width = 5. Opacity = 25. Color is, b06e80. Check Horizontal.

Create a new raster layer. Select All - Modify - Contract - by 4. Selections - Invert. Fill with black. Select None. Use your pen tool, set to solid line, size 4, and draw a line across the lower portion of the tag. (see my tag). Layers - Convert to Raster Layer. IPL, right click and merge down to frame.

With magic wand, click inside the thin rectangle you just created. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 2. New Raster Layer. Fill with same color used for bg fill, d1b2ca. Select None.
Go to Effects - Texture - Blinds. Settings: Width = 5. Opacity = 50. Color is black. Check horizontal. Repeat this step and this time change horizontal to vertical.
Adjust - Add/Remove Noise. Change setting to 100. Lower opacity to 50.

Click on the frame and give it a drop shadow. H & V = 0. Opacity = 100. Blur = 8. Color is black.

Add copyrights, a name and save.

For the avatar, I simply duplicated my tag before merging all layers. Moved the left side of the frame over to the right, then merged all layers.  Cropped it and resized.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and found it easy to follow.
