NOTE: This tutorial is written for the supplies I used. If you are using something different, you may need to adjust some settings.

IPL = In Palette Layers

Reminder: Be sure to delete the template layer once you've filled it.

LET'S GET STARTED

Open template and supplies in psp.
Duplicate the template and delete the original.
We now need to resize the template.
Go to Image - Resize. Under Pixel Dimensions, from the drop down, select Percent. Set both height and width to 90. Put checks in Resample Using, Lock Aspect Radio, and Resize all layers. Select Smart Size in the drop down box.
Now go to Image -  Canvas Size. - New Dimensions. From drop down select Pixels. Make Width and Height = 700. For placement, select the center square.
Click on the white background layer and refill with white.

Okay, now let's move on.

IPL, delete the credit layers. Also delete all four of the text layers and the strips behind them.

I like to start at the bottom and work my way up. Click the white background layer and create a new Raster layer. Fill with this color, f98dc2. Now apply the edge canvas mask. Layers - Merge - Merge group. Use your Raster Deform tool to bring in the top and bottom of the mask a little closer to the template. (see my tag)

Click on the bg square. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. From your foreground color palette, click the pattern tab and select paper 2. Set scale to 50. Fill the new layer. Now go to Selections - Modify - Expand - by 4. New Raster Layer. Fill with the color black. Select none. IPL, move the black layer below the paper layer. Give black a drop shadow.  H & V = 0. Opacity = 100. Blur = 10. Color is black.

Click on Rectangle 3. Use all the same steps you used for the bg square, except fill with paper 3.

Click on Rectangle 2 and once more repeat the same steps last used, except this time fill with paper 1.

Click on Rectangle 1. Again, repeat the same steps, only use paper 4 with scale set to 100. Also make the drop shadow a bit smaller. H & V = 0. Opacity = 100. Blur = 4. Color is black.

Click on the flower shapes. I chose to leave mine white. Go up to Effects - 3D - Inner Bevel. Settings: Bevel 2. Width = 4. Smoothness = 20. Depth = 1. Ambience and Shininess are 0. Apply the same shadow you just used for rectangle 1's black bg.

Time for a black gradient color. Make the foreground color 000000. Make the background color, 808080. In the foreground palette click on the gradient tab. Settings: Style = Linear. Angle = 44. Repeats = 4.

IPL right click the frame outline and merge down to the frame. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with the black gradient. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 1. New Raster Layer. Fill with solid black. Select None. IPL, move the black layer below the gradient layer. Give black layer same shadow you last used.

Click on Vertical Strip 1. Use the same steps you just used for the frame.

Click on Vertical Strip 2. Again, use the same steps you just used for the frame, only do not fill with the gradient color. Use this color, f98dc2.

Click on the top layer scallop. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. In your foreground palette click on the pattern tab and select paper 4. Keep scale at 100. Fill the scallop layer with paper 4. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 1. New Raster Layer. Fill with Black. Select none. IPL, move the black layer below the paper layer and give black same shadow last used.

Click on the white scallop. I chose to keep it white and added the black background layer, and shadow.

Put this color, a4c68d,  in your foreground color palette. Use your 'change to target' tool, opacity set to 100, and run your cursor over the staples.

Click on the frame fill layer. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. In foreground palette click the pattern tab and select paper 3. Keep scale to 100. Fill the new Raster Layer. Keep active.
Paste, as a new layer, your tube. I resized mine down to 80%. Center it in the frame as you like it. Selections - Invert. Delete. Select none.
IPL, right click the tube and duplicate. Click on the top tube. Go to Adjust - Automatic Saturation Enhancement - Check, Bias - Normal. Strength - Normal. IPL, right click the top layer you just worked with and duplicate. Change blend mode to Screen and reduce opacity to 30. Give the original tube a drop shadow. H & V = 0. Opacity = 100. Blur = 10. Color is black.

Paste, as a new layer, the ring. Move to the far left side of your tag. Give it a drop shadow. H & V = 0. Opacity = 60. Blur = 4. Color is black.  IPL, right click and duplicate two times.  Still in palette layers, move the bottom ring below the black bg of the bg square layer. Move it up about an inch or two above the bg square. (see my tag) Move the middle ring in front of the bg square. Move it up about an inch. Move the top ring  in front of rectangle 3. Move it up about an inch. (see my tag).

Paste, as a new layer the tiny flower. Duplicate twice. Place one flower over each ring. See my tag for placements.
Paste, as a new layer, the butterfly. Resize down to 50%. Rotate to the right about 10 degrees. Give it a drop shadow. Same as used for the rings. Move to upper center of tag. (see my tag)

Add copyright and merge all layers.

If you are not going to animate, add name and save as a png.

To Animate

After you've merged all layers, copy your tag and paste in animation shop as a new animation.
Open the star animation in animation shop. It has 6 frames, so you need to duplicate your tag. Right click tag and duplicate. Repeat until you have 6 frames total.
Click on the star animation and type Ctrl a    Ctrl c. Now click on the first frame of your tag and type Ctrl a   Ctrl e. Place the stars at the very top of the pink strip. Type Ctrl a  Ctrl e and move the stars just below the first ones. Repeat two more times.
Go up to View - Animation. If you like it, save as a mng file.

To add a name to your animated tag, After making it in psp, paste in animation shop as a new animation. Go up to your tool bar, or to edit and select propagate paste.
Now click on your name and type Ctrl a   Ctrl c . Click the first frame of your tag and type Ctrl a   Ctrl e. Place name to the lower left of tag. Save as a gif.
