Green Eyes

A working knowledge of PSP is assumed.

SUPPLIES NEEDED

Tube of choice. (One with a stand up and a close up works best.)
I am using an image by Anna Liwanag which can be found at CDO.

Font used is MeaCulpa

NOTE: This tutorial is written for the materials I used. If you are using something different you may need to adjust some settings.

IPL = In Palette Layers

Reminder: Be sure to delete template layers once you've filled them, unless otherwise stated.

LET'S BEGIN

Open supplies in psp.

Duplicate template and delete original. IPL, delete the credit layer.

Click on the white background layer. Now Add a New Raster Layer.  From your foreground color palette click on the pattern tab. Select paper 1. Keep angle at 0 and scale  at 100. Fill the new layer.
Apply the WSL mask 194. Layers - Merge - Merge Group. Use your Raster Deform tool to pull out the top and bottom of mask, just a bit.

These next steps are for rectangle 1 and rectangle 2, the square, as well as strip 2.
Click on rectangle 1. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. From foreground color palette click the pattern tab. I chose paper 4. Angle set to 0. Scale set to 50. Fill new raster layer. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 5. New Raster Layer. Fill with white. Select none. IPL, move the white layer below the paper layer. Give white layer a drop shadow. H & V = 1. Opacity = 80. Blur = 6. Color is black. Now give the paper layer a drop shadow. H & V = 0. Opacity 75. Blur = 4. Color is black.
Repeat these steps with rectangle 2 and the square. See my tag for paper selection, or choose your own. (When using paper 3, set scale at 100.) (For paper 1 and 2 set scale to 75.)

Click on the heart shape. Select all - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with paper 2. Select None. Go up to Effects - 3D - Inner Bevel. Settings: Bevel 5. Width = 4. Smoothness = 5. Depth = 1. Ambience and shininess = 0. Add a drop shadow. H & V = 1. Opacity 75. Blur = 4. Color is black.
Paste, as a new layer, the stick pin. Place it through the middle of the heart. Add drop shadow. Use your eraser tool to erase a small section of the pin in the middle to make it look like it's sticking through the heart. (see my tag) Add a tiny line to both ends where you cut away from. Then smudge it, or soften it a bit.

Click on frame1 fill. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with this color, f8b285. Keep active.
Click on your full tube. Rotate left by 9 degrees. Copy. Paste as a new layer into your tag. Position it over the active frame fill layer. Selections - Invert. Delete. Select None. I wanted to enhance my tube, so IPL, I right clicked and duplicated it. Clicking on the top tube I went to Adjust - Automatic Saturation Enhancement.  Put a check on Bias Normal, and Strength Normal.
Still of the duplicate, reduce the opacity to 50%. IPL, right click duplicate and merge down to first tube. Give a drop shadow. H & V = 1. Opacity 75. Blur = 4. Color is black.

I chose to keep my frame white. I gave it the same drop shadow I used for the tube.

Click on the frame2 fill. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with the same color you used for the first frame. Select None.

To fill in the frame layers, click inside the square. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 2. Now paste the close up tube. Increase the size to your liking and place it in the square where you want it. Selections - Invert. Delete. Select None. Do the other squares the same way. Using different sizes and parts of the face or image. (see my tag) Again, I left the frame white and added the drop shadow.

Click on strip 1. Select All - Float - Defloat. Paste, as a new layer, you tube close up. I increased the size to 250. Center the eyes. Selections - Invert. Delete. Select None. IPL, right click the eye layer and duplicate. Click on the duplicate. Go to Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add Noise. Settings: put checks in Gaussian and Monochrome. Set noise to 20%. Now go to Effects - Textures - Blinds. Settings: Width = 4. Opacity = 50. Color is 494b2f. Check Horizontal. Reduce opacity to 60%.
Give bottom layer a drop shadow. H & V = 1. Opacity = 100. Blur = 4. Color is black.

Paste, as a new layer, the curly doodle. Effects - 3D - Inner Bevel. Settings: Bevel 2. Width = 2. Smoothness = 20. Depth = 1. Ambience and Shininess = 0. Center it to the right side of tag. (see my tag) IPL, move doodle layer below bottom eyes layer. Give same drop shadow last used.

Paste, as a new layer, the butterfly. IPL, right click and duplicate. Resize the duplicate to 75%. Rotate smaller butterfly left. Larger butterfly rotate right. Place them on the doodle. (see my tag). Give a drop shadow.

NAME

Open text box. Font is Mea Culpa size 48 Bold. Stroke width = 0.50. Kerning = 25. Foreground and Background colors are both white. Type out the name. Copy, then delete. Repost as a new Raster Layer. Select all - Float - Defloat - Modify - Expand - by 1. New Raster Layer. Fill with this color, 8b8f5a. Select none. IPL, move color layer below white. Give color layer a drop shadow. Last used. Click on the white layer. Effects - 3D - Inner Bevel. Use same settings your used for the doodle. IPL, right click white name and merge down to colored one. Place to the left of the bottom strip. (see my tag).

Add copyright and merge all layers. Save
