A working knowledge of PSP is assumed.
Supplies Needed
Tube of choice. I am using the art of Michi, which can be found at CDO
Mask AR315
Animation Shop 3 Try HERE
Fonts Used - FadGod, Donatellia
Note: This tutorial is written for the supplies I used. If you are using something different, you may need to adjust some settings.
IPL = In Palette Layers
Reminder: Delete the template layers once you've filled them, unless stated otherwise.
Let's Begin
Open supplies in PSP.
Open supplies in PSP.
Duplicate template. Delete original. IPL, delete the credit layer.
Click on the white background layer. Paste, as a new layer, paper 2. Apply the AR315 mask. Setting: Tic Source Luminance, Fit to Canvas, and Hide all mask. Go to Layers - Merge - Merge Group. Reduce the size of the mask layer down to 96%. IPL, set opacity to 80.
Create a graident color. Background color is Black. Foreground color is, dbdbdb. In foreground, click the gradient tab. Select foreground/background. Style = Linear. Angle = 40. Repeats = 5.
Click on background square 2. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with the black gradient color. Go to Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add noise. Settings: Check Gaussian and Monochrome. Set noise to 20. Go back to settings - Modify - Expand - by 1. New Raster Layer. Fill with solid black. Select None. IPL, move the solid black below the gradient. Give the solid a drop shadow. H & V = 2. Opacity = 75. Blur = 6. Color is black.
Repeat these steps for Triangle 1bg and Triangle 2bg.
Click on the lg frame. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with graident. New Raster Layer. Selections - Modify - Expand - expand by 1. Fill new layer with black. Select none. Give same drop shadow last used. IPL, move the black layer below the gradient layer. Repeat these steps for frame 2.

Click on background square 1. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. In the foreground palette click the pattern tab. Select paper 3 from my supplies. Set the Angle to 358, and the scale to 25. Fill the new raster layer with paper 2. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 1. New Raster Layer. Fill with solid black. Select none. IPL, move the solid black below the pattern. Give black the same drop shadow last used.

Click on bgTriangle 1. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. In your foreground palette, click the pattern tab and select paper 1 from my supplies. Angle = 0. Scale 55. Fill the new raster layer. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 1. New Raster Layer. Fill with the color black. Select none. IPL, move the black layer below the flower paper layer. Repeat these steps for triangle 2.

Click on the lg frame fill. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. In your foreground palette, from the pattern tab, select paper 2. Resize to your liking. Fill new layer with the paper. Still active, paste, as a new layer, your close up tube. Center it and then click delete. Select None. Give the tube a drop shadow. H & V = 1. Opacity = 30. Blur = 6. Color is black.
Using your lasso selection tool, carefully outline the blue of the eyes. Selections - Invert. Make your foreground color black. Use the Change to Target Brush, set at 100%, size 500. Now drag your cursor over the face of your tube. Select None.

Paste, as a new layer, the clip and flower. Give each a drop shadow. See my tag as for where to paste. Or put where you like.

Open a new image size 700 x 700 and fill with black. Right click and copy.
Click on the triangle swirl. Select All - Float - Defloat. Paste, as a new layer, the black image. Selections - Invert. Delete. IPL, right click and duplicate the black swirl layer. Give the bottom swirl layer a drop shadow. Right click the bottom swirl and duplicate.
Use your magic wand tool and click on every other of the swirl triangles. Fill the selections with the color white. Select None.

Add correct copy right.
Add Name.
Merge all layers. Save.
ANIMATION SHOP
Do not merge all layers. Click on just the last triangle of the swirl, fill it with white. Select none. Right click tag and copy merged. Open Animation shop and paste as a new animation.
Back to psp and your tag. Go to Edit - Undo Select None - Undo fill - Select None. Now click the next triangle up. Fill with white. Select None. Right click tag and copy merged. In animation shop right click your tag and paste after current frame.
Back to psp and your tag. Go to Edit - Undo Select None - Undo fill - Select None. Now click the next triangle up. Fill with white. Select None. Right click tag and copy merged. In animation shop right click your tag and paste after current frame.
Back to psp and Edit - Undo Select None - Undo fill - Select None. Now click the next triangle up. Fill with white. Select None. Right click tag and copy merged. In animation shop right click your tag and paste after current frame. Repeat these steps until you reach the top of the triangle swirl. Be sure when pasting after current frame you have clicked the last frame in your tag.
Once you've finished all the triangles in the swirl, go up to View - Animation. If you are happy with your tag, save as a mng file.
To add the name to your animation, once you've made the name in psp, copy it and paste in animation shop as a new animation. Go either to your upper tool bar, or in your edit file and click Propagate Paste. Now right click the first frame of the name and type Ctrl a Ctrl c. Now right click the first frame of your tag and type Ctrl a Ctrl e. Position your name where you like.
Save tag as a gif.
