Fall

This tutorial was created in PSP9. A working knowledge of psp is assumed.

Supplies Needed

Tube of choice. I am using the art of PINUPTOONS,
which can be purchased from
CDO.

NOTE
: This tutorial was written for the supplies I used. If you are using something different, you may need to make some adjustments to settings and or colors.

*IPL = In Palette Layers


Let's Begin

Open template in PSP. Duplicate and delete the original. IPL, delete the credit and all shadow layers.

Create a gradient color. Foreground color is 9a1212, and background color is ffcb3f. In foreground click the gradient tab. Style = Sunburst. Repeats = 2. Put check in invert.

Click on flower 1. Select all - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with gradient color. Select none. IPL, delete original flower 1. Go to Adjust = Add/Remove Noise - Noise. Settings: Check Gaussian and Monochrome. Set noise to 10. Give flower a drop shadow. H & P = 1. Opacity = 75. Blur = 6. Color is black.
Repeat these steps for flower 2, and the flower petals.

Click on lg square 2. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with paper 1 from my supplies, or a paper or color of your choice. Select None. IPL, delete original lg. square 2. Add a drop shadow. I used H & V = 2. Opacity = 75. Blur = 6. Color is black.

Click lg square1. Select All - Float - Defloat. Paste, as a new layer, paper 2 from my supplies. Selections - Invert. Delete. Select None. IPL, delete the original square 1 layer. Now, right click paper 2 layer and duplicate. Stay on the duplicate and Go to Effects - Filters - Filters Unlimited - Color Filters - Select Sepia and use default setting. Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - set to 4. Reduce opacity to 50. Click on original paper 2 and give it a drop shadow. Same as used for paper 1.
IPL, click on the grid layer and reduce opicity to 40.

Click the lg rectangle background layer. Select all - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with this color,
858991. Select none and add drop shadow.

Click the lg rectangle.  Select all - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with paper 3 from my supplies. Select none.

Click on the ring.  Select all - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with this color, d5822f. Select None. Delete original ring layer. Add same drop shadow you've been using.

Click on the button.  Select all - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with same color as ring. Select None. Delete original button layer. Go to Effects - 3D - Inner Bevel. Settings: Bevel #5. Width = 5. Smoothness = 15. Depth = 1. Ambience and Shine = 0.
Click on the button bg.  Select all - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with the blue color from rectangle bg. Select None. Delete original layer. Add same drop shadow.
Put this color ebd5a5, in your foreground color palette. Use your pen tool, straight line, width 6. Draw a short line at an angle from one button hole to the other. Layers - convert to raster layer. Filters Unlimited - paper textures. Select Filter Paper at default settings. Effects - 3D -  Inner Bevel, use same settings last used. Duplicate and mirror. Place one on top of the other to make the x for your stitch. Add a drop shadow.

 Click the sm square. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with the blue color 858991. Select None. Delete the original layer. Effects - Filters Unlimited - Paper textures. Select Canvas Fine. Intensity = 65. Lightness = 89. Add a drop shadow.
Repeat these steps for the thin rectangle.

Click the thin rectangle bg.  Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with the orange color d5822f. Select None. Delete the original layer. Add drop shadow.

Stitches for sm square and thin rectangle. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with ebd5a5. Delete original stitches. Apply same texture and bevel you used for the button stitch. Switch Bevel width to 2. Add a drop shadow. H & V =1. Opacity = 75. Blur = 6. Color is black.

Paste your tube as a new layer. Position it to the left of your tag about center of the circle. Resize down to 90%. Effects - Filters Unlimited - Image enhancement - Color Booster. Set at 74. Apply drop shadow. H & V =1. Opacity = 75. Blur = 6. Color is black.

Open text box. Foreground null and background paper 1. Font is Bernhard BdCn Bt size 72 Bold. Kerning = 25. Type out FALL. Apply - Copy - Delete. Repaste as a new layer. Move to center of sm square. Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat - Modify - Expand by 1. New Raster Layer. Fill with 39200b. Selections - Expand by 2. New Raster layer. Fill with ebd5a5. Select None. IPL, move paper layer to top, then the brown layer, light color on bottom. Give bottom layer drop shadow. Top layer, use bevel last used.

Paste, as a new layer, the bow. Reduce size down to 75% Place center top of sm square. Add a drop shadow.

Paste as a new layer, the colored beads. Resize to your liking and place along the bottom of tag. I used the brown for my flower centers. Add a drop shadow to each.

For the name I used the font Love size 55. Foreground and Background color 551903. Apply, Copy, Deleat. Repaste as a new layer. Move to top, center of tag. Select All - Float - Defloat - Modify - Expand by 1. New Raster Layer. Fill with ebd5a5. Select None. IPL move light color below the brown. Still on the light color go to Adjust - Softness - Soften. Add a drop shadow.

Add proper copyright info and merge all layers. Save.
