In Love

This tutorial was created using PSP9. A working knowledge of PSP is assumed.

 
Supplies Needed
 
Tube of choice. I am using the beautiful art of Zindy Nieslen.
You can purchase her tubes at

Notice: This tutorial is written for the tube and supplies I used. If you are using something different, you may need to make some adjustments in the settings.

IPL = In Palette Layers
Let's Begin
Open template in PSP. Duplicate and delete the original. IPL, delete the credits layer.

Paste, as a new layer, your tube. I used the regular tube and resized it down to 85%.
Using your lasso tool, trace around the bottom half of the tube. Starting below the arms and hands. Include all the skirt and most of the top. (see my tag)  Delete - Select None. Place the tube over the frame. (see my tag) Add a drop shadow. H & V = 1. Opacity = 50. Blur = 8. Color is black.

Click on rectangle 1. Selections - Select all - Float - Defloat. New Raster layer. Fill with the floral paper. New Raster Layer. Fill with the red pattern paper. Paste, as a new layer, the close up image of your tube. Increase the size up to 140%. Move it to the right side of rectangle 1. Center the face. (see my tag) Selections - Invert. Delete. Select None. IPL, delete the original rectangle 1.

IPL, right click the close up and duplicate. Click on the duplicate and go to Adjust - Blur - Gaussian blur - set to 4. Change the blend mode to soft light. Give the original close up a drop shadow. H & V = 1. Opacity = 75. Blur = 5. Color is black.

IPL, click on the red pattern layer. Move it above the close up layers. Change the blend mode to screen.

Go to Layers - View - None. Back in palette layers, unhide the two close up layers, the red pattern and the floral layers. Right click one of them and merge visible. Erase any shadows from the tube, that are outside of the rectangle shape.
Add a drop shadow. H & V = 2. Opacity = 75. Blur = 6. Color is black.
Layers - View - All.

Click on the heart shape. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with the red pattern 2 paper. Select None. IPL, delete original heart layer. Add same drop shadow last used.

Make a black gradient color. Foreground is 000000, and background is 737171. In the foreground, click the gradient tab. Style = Linear. Angle = 45. Repeats = 4. Check invert.

Click on the frame. Select All. Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with the gradient color. New Raster layer. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 1. Fill with 000000. Select None. IPL, move the solid black below the gradient layer. Click on the gradient layer. Go to Effects - 3 D - Inner Bevel. Settings: Bevel # 5. Width = 4. Smoothness = 0. Depth = 4. Ambience and Shine = 0. IPL, right click the gradient layer and merge down with the black layer. Delete the original frame layer. Add same drop shadow last used.

While you have the black gradient, click on rectangle 2. Select All. Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with black gradient. Select none. IPL delete original rectangle 2. Go to Effects - Textures - Weave. Settings: Gap size = 3. Width = 10. Opacity = 1. Weave color is white. Gap color is black. Put check in fill gaps. Add same drop shadow last used.

Make a red gradient color. Foreground is a81a1d, and background is cd3c3b. In foreground click the gradient tab. Style is Sunburst. Horizontal = 27. Vertical = 59. Repeats = 4. Check invert.

Click on the frame fill layer. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with red gradient color. Select None. IPL, delete original fill layer.

Click on rectangle 3. Select All. Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with poka dot paper, with scale set at 75. IPL, delete original rectangle 3. Add same drop shadow as last used.

Paste, as a new layer, the heart shape. Place it at the tip of the big heart. (see my tag) Add a drop shadow

Paste, as a new layer, the doodle. Place it below the rectangle1 layer and give it a drop shadow.

Paste, as a new layer, the word art. Position at the top center of tag. (see my tag)

Merge all layers.
Add correct copyright info and your name. Save
