Purple Beauty


A working knowledge of psp is assumed.

Supplies Needed.

3 tubes from same artist. I am using the
art of Jennifer Janesko which I purchased from CDO.

PlugIn filter EyeCandy4-Chrome 

Font used is Phyllis Initials

(3 scrap papers, flower cluster)


NOTE: This tutorial is written for the supplies I used. If you are using something different, you may need to adjust some settings.

IPL In Palette Layers


Let's Begin.


Open supply papers in psp.

Open template in psp. Duplicate and delete original.   IPL, delete the credit layer.

Click on the white background layer and add a new Raster Layer. In your foreground color palette, create a Sunburst gradient using these colors, ded6ea and 000000. Flood fill the new layer with this gradient color. Apply the CMC_mask62. Layers - Merge Group.

While you still have the gradient color, click on one of the frame fill layers. Select all - float - defloat. New raster layer. Fill with the gradient. Select none. Delete template layer. Repeat these steps for the other two frame fills.

Click on the curly circle. IPL, right click and duplicate. Now right click the duplicate and merge down to original. 
Go to Effects - EyeCandy4 - Chrome. Settings: Click on settings, select Liquid Metal.  
Click the Basic Tab. Reflection map = Roadside. Bevel width = 20. Bevel Height = 50. Smoothness = 60. Ripple thickness = 48. Ripple width = 66. Check inside marquee. 
Click the Lighting tab. Make the tint color black. Change tint amount to 70.
Add a drop shadow. H & V = 1. Opacity = 50. Blue = 4. Color is black.

Click on the leaf semi circle. Select all - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. In foreground color palette open the pattern tab and select the black pattern from my supplies. Set scale to 50. Fill the new raster layer. Select none. IPL, right click the template layer and dupilcate. Click the duplicate and merge down. Give the template layer a drop shadow. Same as for curly circle.

Click on bg 2. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. In foreground color palette, click the pattern tab and select the green paper from my supplies. Fill the new Raster layer. Select None. Give a drop shadow. Delete template layer.

Click on bg 1. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. In foreground color palette, click the pattern tab and select the paisley paper. Set angle to 45 and reduce scale to 30. Fill the new raster layer. Select None. Give a drop shadow and delete the template layer.

Create a new gradient. Foreground color is, 008080, and background color is 6ccabb. Click the gradient tab and select the style as Linear. Angle at 45. Repeats are 4. 
Click on strip 2. Select all - float - defloat. New raster layer. Fill with the green gradient. Select none. Add a drop shadow. Delete template layer.

Change the gradient colors. Foreground is b6a6cb, and background is 493b5d. Change repeats to 3.
Click on strip 1. Select all - float - defloat. New raster layer. Fill with the purple gradient. Select none. Add a drop shadow. Delete template layer. 
Repeat these steps for the double stripe.

For both of the strip bgs, Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with the black pattern paper. Scale set to 100. Select None. Add a drop shadow. H & V = 2. Opacity = 100. Blur = 6. Color is black. Delete template layers. 

Click on frame 1. Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. In your foreground color open the gradient tab. My psp came with a metal brass gradient. See if yours does, or something close to it. Set angle to 45. Repeats to 0. Fill the frame layer. Select none. Adjust - Add/Remove Noise. Add noise - Check Gaussian and Monochrome. Set to 15.  Delete template layer. Repeat these steps for the other two frames. 

Click on frame 1 trim. Use your magic wand tool to click inside the trim. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 4. Paste, as a new layer, your tube of choice. Select none. IPL, move the tube layer below the trim layer. Give your tube this drop shadow. H & V = 1. Opacity = 50. Blur = 10. Color is black.
Give the trim layer a drop shadow. H & V = 2. Opacity = 100. Blur = 6. Color is black.

Repeat these steps for the other two frames.

Post, as a new layer, the flower cluster. Position to the lower left. 

Add copyrights and a name. Save.
