I (heart) Leather

A working knowledge of psp is assumed.

Supplies Needed.

Tube of choice. One with a close up works best.
I am using a tube I purchased from VeryManyTubes

Animation Shop 3

Mask  rnd_fademsk

Font used is Miss Stanfort

NOTE: This tutorial is written for the materials I used. If you are using something different, you may need to adjust some settings.

IPL = In Palette Layers

LET'S BEGIN

Open supplies in psp.

Open a new image, 700 x 700, flood fill with white.

Paste, as a new layer, the denim paper. Apply the mask rnd_fademsk. Settings: Check Source Luminance, Fit to canvas, and Hide all mask. You may need to check invert transparency.
Layers - Merge - Merge Group. Resize down to 96%. Reduce opacity to 80 %.

Paste, as a new layer, the frame fill square. Resize down to 96%. IPL, right click and duplicate. Place them side by side with about a 20 pixel gap. Move the left square up about 60 pixels.  IPL, right click the top square layer and merge down to the other. Keep them centered, but move up about 100 pixels. (see my tag)

Using your magic wand selections tool, with tolerance set to 20, Click on the black grid only, of the frame fill. Make sure you have both squares active. Mind the corners, they can be tricky to get all of it. To check, simply hit delete. If you see any black left unfilled, undo the delete and click the missed spots.
Paste, as a new layer, the close up of your tube. Increase it's size up to 150%. Position it so each eye is clearly visible in each square. Once you have it as you like it, go to Selections - Invert. Delete. Select None. (Do not delete the frame fill layer.)
IPL, right click and duplicate the close up. Give the bottom close up a drop shadow. H & V = 1. Opacity = 100. Blur = 2. Color is black. IPL, right click the shadowed close up and duplicate. Right click the top shadowed close up and merge down.
Click on the top or un-shadowed close up. Use your change to target brush set at Size 500 and opacity 100. Put the color black in your foreground color palette. Run your cursor over the close up layer, making it a black and white. Use your eraser tool, size 40, shape circle. Carefully erase the eye pupil on both eyes. You are wanting the close up to be black and white, but the eyes brown.
Go to Adjust - Blur - Gaussian blur. Set to 2.

Paste, as a new layer, the frame. Give it a drop shadow. H & V = 2. Opaicty = 100. Blur = 6. Color is black. IPL, right click and duplicate. Place a frame over each of the close up squares.

Paste, as a new layer, the word art. Move it toward the bottom of the circle mask. (see my tag) Add a drop shadow. H & V = 1. Opacity = 70. Blur = 4. Color is black.

Paste, as a new layer, your full tube. Resize down to 40%. Position the tube as if it is laying on top of the word art. (see my tag). Give the same drop shadow as you used for the word art.

Paste, as a new layer, the chain thingy. Resize down to 80%. Give it the same drop shadow you just used for your tube. IPL, right click and duplicate. Place one chain above each of the frames. (see my tag)

If you are going to use animation skip this part.
If you are not going to animate, go ahead and paste, as a new layer, the png zipper image. Keep it centered and move down just under the word art. Paste, as a new layer, the zipper shadow with studs. Carefully line up the shadow over the zipper. (see my tag)

Add your copyright and a name. Merge all layers. Save.

Animation

In Animation Shop, open the animated zipper. You should have 22 frames.

In psp, Apply the copyright to your tag. Merge all layers. Right click and copy.

In animation shop, paste your tag as a new animation.
Because the zipper has 22 frames, you need to give your tag the same. Right click and duplicate. Keep doing so until you have 22 frames.

Click on the zipper. Type Ctrl a    Ctrl c.
Now, click on your tag and type Ctrl a   Ctrl e. Keeping the zipper centered, move it to just below the word art. Right click your mouse.

Paste, as a new animation the zipper shadow and stud. Go up to your tool bar and click propagate paste. If you don't see it, look in your edit folder.

Click on the zipper shadow and type Ctrl a  Ctrl c. Now click on your tag and type Ctrl a  Ctrl e. Carefully move the shadow over the the zipper. Right click mouse.

Click on the last frame of your tag. Go up to Animation - Frame Properties. Set it to 100.
Go up to View - View animation.
If you are liking what you have, save as a mng file.

To add a name. After making the name in psp, copy and paste in animation shop as a new animation. You still want the propagate paste selected. Click on the name and type Ctrl a   Ctrl c.  Click on  your tag and type Ctrl a  Ctrl e. Place the name to the upper right of the tag. (see my tag).
Save as a gif file.
